About rental server
How to choose the right server?
A Shared Server should be sufficient if you have a simple website (corporate website) and not more than a few dozens email users.
If you need something that caters to a larger user base or websites that has more complex functionalities, we recommend a Virtual Private Server (VPS) that has a larger capacity and more customizable. Our Future Storage is also best started with a VPS.
For more complex websites such as member sites or websites with E-commerce capabilities which requires development and management of web systems, we recommend Dedicated Servers.
For systems that requires multiple servers, please contact us for a more detailed consultation.
Is it possible to move a website created on a shared server to a dedicated server?
It is basically possible to migrate a website between a shared server, a dedicated server, and a VPS, but please contact your website development company for details. Some migrations may pose some difficulties due to differences in the specifications of each server.
Is it possible to purchase additional IP addresses?
Please feel free to contact us if your system requires multiple IP addresses. The VPS and Dedicated Server come with 1 (ONE) IP address by default. However, due to increasing demand IP addresses (IPv4) are running out in Malaysia and our stock is limited. Please note that we may not be able to respond to requests for additional IP addresses depending on stock availability.
Is it possible to install and use WordPress?
Yes, our servers in Malaysia can be used with WordPress. However, you may need to verify the compatibility and functionality of the plugins that you plan to use. Please contact us for more information.
I am concern about the security of my website. Please share your security measures.
For customers who are concern about website hacking and tampering, we propose a Web Application Firewall (WAF) – Shadankun as an added option to further strengthen the security of your website.
Is it possible to sign up for your services using a foreign company outside of Malaysia?
Yes we do accept applications from foreign entities outside of Malaysia but we accept payments only in US Dollars (USD) and Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). There may be a slight adjustment to the pricing due to tax laws and currency rates.
Also, kindly take note that it is a requirement for a company who wishes to sign up for a “.com.my” domain to have a local presence (legally registered company) in Malaysia.
